Reformer

Clinical Pilates Reformer classes involve using Pilates machines called Reformers. In our fully equipped Pilates studio we have six reformer machines available to use in either individual or small-group settings.

Reformer machines use springs as resistance to help improve strength of core muscles as well as flexibility and posture. This type of exercise can be used in the rehabilitation of injuries or as an adjunct to a general fitness program.

Reformer Pilates Classes taken by our physiotherapists are 45 minutes long. The classes are on regularly throughout the week including evenings and Saturdays. See timetable for details. These classes are appropriate for a variety of fitness levels however most individuals will need to complete a Beginner Course first.

Supervised Sessions involve completing your own personalised reformer exercise program under the guidance of our fully trained Pilates instructors. These sessions are appropriate for those that are deemed competent and safe to use the reformer machines without a physiotherapist present. See timetable for availabilities of these sessions.

Circuit Classes are for 1 hour and are taken by a physiotherapist. They involve using a variety of different Pilates equipment for 45 minutes as well as a 15 minutes stretching session. These classes are for those that are experienced in using a variety of different Pilates equipment.

An initial pre-assessment with a physiotherapist is required to assess your suitability for these classes. All of our classes are very popular however you will be wait-listed for your preferred classes and we will endeavour to place you in the next available spot. Please contact reception on 3857 4810 to book your pre-assessment.
