Classes &
TIMETABLE

At Junction Road Physiotherapy all of our classes are delivered by our highly skilled physiotherapists and undertaken in small groups with a maximum of six to eight people. This allows us to incorporate rehabilitation programs, exercise and functional training, pilates, and strength and conditioning, all tailored to each individual’s needs.

We have two designated exercise spaces – one designed for mat work classes and strength and conditioning sessions, and a pilates studio with six reformer machines.  You can get started with a one-to-one consultation then progress on to our group exercise sessions, offered in a friendly, hands-on class environment.

See our range of classes and available class times below.

Please note: There is a 24 hour cancellation fee for all pilates – if chosen spot can’t be filled.

As we grow older, exercise is very important to maintain a healthy body, particularly to prevent osteoporosis and poor balance. Bones and Balance classes focus on weight-bearing exercises to assist in maintaining bone density, as well as balance exercises to prevent falls, as numerous studies have shown this strategy to be beneficial.

Bones and Balance classes are ideal for those having difficulties with:

  • Osteoporosis or bone density loss
  • Arthritis
  • Recurrent falls and balance problems

Cost: $32/class

Our small group classes incorporate the use of Pilates machines (reformers), fit balls, balance beams, weights and mats. Our experienced physiotherapists will make you feel safe, comfortable and confident in the class while the exercises will improve your balance, general strength, flexibility and coordination.

An initial pre-assessment with one of our physiotherapists is required to assess your suitability for these classes. Bones and Balance classes run for 30 minutes.  Please contact our reception on 3857 4810 for further details or to make a booking.

Our reformer classes incorporate pilates-based exercises performed using machines called reformers. Reformer machines use springs as resistance to help improve muscle strength, especially around the core, as well as flexibility and posture. This type of exercise can be used in the rehabilitation of injuries or as an adjunct to a general fitness program.

Reformer classes are ideal for:

  • Progression from Beginner Matwork classes
  • Rehabilitation from injuries
  • Posture correction
  • Prevention of recurrence of back or neck pain

Cost: $32/class

Reformer Classes are 45 minutes and run regularly throughout the week, including evenings and Saturday mornings. Our classes are appropriate for a variety of fitness levels and as an adjunct in the rehabilitation of various injuries or conditions. An initial pre-assessment with a physiotherapist is required to assess your suitability for these classes. As spaces are limited, there can be a waiting period for certain times or days. Please contact our reception on 3857 4810 for further details or to make a booking.
